Lee Fine aka The Cat in "Search & Destroy"
Christopher Irving is at it again! He just launched the Kickstarter for his latest novel in the Eagle Force Pulp series focusing on Lee Fine aka The Cat in "Search & Destroy".
Search and Destroy is the culmination of Lee Fine's early days as a spy for The Agency. After the events of Face the Night, The Cat tries to leave his life as a spy but is drawn back in to avenge a fallen friend. What follows is the ultimate showdown with the Direktor as he reveals his ultimate plan for R.I.O.T.!
The Kickstarter has 9 more days left and includes some great rewards like a limited edition hardcover which includes all the previous Eagle Force Pulp novels.
We've also started working on the Eagle Force paint masters thanks to the amazing Jason Bienvenu. You can see some "work in progress" images below.
Joe Con 2018
We also have some exciting news. The folks at Chicken Fried Toys have kindly offered to display the Eagle Force tooling samples later this month at Joe Con June 21-24th. We won't be on hand to enjoy the show but please stop by the Chicken Fried Toys booth and head over to any of the social media links below to let us know what you think the figures.
Thanks again for your support. I hope you enjoyed seeing these images as much as we did.
Final tooling sample images and delivery update.

We finally have the final tooling samples from the factory. You can see images below.
These will be sent out to get painted by the prototype painter shortly. Unfortunately since the factory got behind the painter is booked till July, so we won't see the paint masters till mid/late July.
From there they go to the factory so the factory can start the paint samples. I'll keep pushing the factory as much as I can, but I think we're looking at a Q3 delivery at this time. I'll keep everyone updated as we move forward. Thanks for your patience and understanding, based on these samples once you get these in hand I know it'll be worth the wait.

The factory has output the tooling samples for over 30 figures.
Here are some image as they assembled them for shipping. I should have these next week.
I wish were at this place a year ago, but we're still working as fast as we can to get these done. Once I get them in hand they'll go to the prototype painter.
Thanks again everyone
April Update...New tooling images

We just got a few images of the tooling adjustments. There are still a couple minor issues, including the gap between the upper leg and crotch but we're hoping to have those resolved soon. You can see images below, along with a comparison with the old shorted tooling.
I know this is taking longer than expected but we're working hard to make these figures great! I'm hoping to have samples in hand in a few weeks, so I'll take better images at that point.
So what's next steps? Once the tooling is finaled we're going to move on the paint masters. Paint masters were not part of our original project plan, we hoped the 3D renders would be sufficient for the factory. This worked very well for our Amazing Heroes Retroverse line but as these figures require more paint decos we have decided to have Ed Bradley (Sideshow, Diamond) do the paint masters for the figures. Here are a couple paint masters he just did for a new comic book line we are working on.
Traditionally this is done earlier in the process, but because of the nature of the Kickstarter timeline and the fact that we feel strongly the factory needs painted samples, we are doing this after tooling. These paint masters will allow the factory to have a in-hand reference of how we want the production figures to look. This will cause the figures to be delayed a bit more than we would like but we feel this will achieve a better result in the long run.
We will of course keep you updated as things progress at every stage. Thanks again for all the support, I know this has been a long road but it will be worth it in the end.
